Croatia PWA World Tour Tag 2

Slalom Tuesday-Lou Judd (Patrik / Phantom Sails) assumes the lead in the Women’s Slalom after being able to successfully discard her 9th place from Elimination 3. The 21-year-old enjoyed an excellent second day - winning Elimination 4 and then backing it up with two solid second places, which takes her into a 2.3 point lead over Sara Wennekes, who continues to sail extremely consistently. The 25-year-old is the only sailor in the fleet not to have finished outside of the top 3. Meanwhile, Fabiënne Hoogendam (Patrik / Patrik Sails) is 3 points further back after winning the last elimination of the day. Foil The opening Women’s Foil Elimination was also completed on Day 2, which saw Wennekes take the first bullet of the event ahead of the hotly fancied - Helle Oppedal (Fanatic / Duotone) - who finished second last week in Israel. The top 3 is currently completed by Palma Cargo. Men’s Slalom Maciek Rutkowski (FMX Racing / Challenger Sails) storms into the lead by the end of the second day after the Pole produced his best performance to date on the world tour. The 29-year-old reeled off two consecutive bullets today to complete a brilliant hat-trick of elimination victories, which sees the Pole hold a perfect record of 2.1 points after 4 races.  Basile Jacquin (FMX Racing / Point-7) is Rutkowski’s closest rival - trailing by 5.9 points - after a third and an 8th today, whilst Jordy Vonk (Fanatic / Duotone / LOKEFOIL) finishes the day on the same points as Jacquin - 8 - however, Vonk trails on countback having finished 10th in Elimination 3.  Enrico Marotti (JP / NeilPryde) slips one place to fourth after a 4th and an 8th today, whilst vice-world champion - Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Severne Sails / Starboard Foil) - gains a couple of places which seems the Italian rise into 5th place after recording two solid second places.  The top 10 is currently completed by Ennio dal Pont (JP / NeilPryde), Lohan Jules, Bruno Martini (I-99 / Challenger Sails), Rytis Jasiunas (Future Fly / Point-7) and Cedric Bordes (Tabou / GA Sails).
